2. The recipient’s academic performance is reviewed each semester by the advisor to receive the scholarship for the subsequent semester.

** This scholarships application is only available before admission, students cannot apply for this scholarship after enrollment. Scholarship recipients must abide by the scholarship regulations.

2. Students applying for doctoral programs should obtain and upload a Consent Form signed by a potential advisor to obtain a tuition waiver.

The Elite Ph.D. Scholarship

Monthly stipend of TWD15,000 (≒USD500).

1. The maximum duration is 3 years. (6 semesters)

2. The recipient’s academic performance is reviewed each semester by the advisor to receive the scholarship for the subsequent semester.

4. Applicable to recipients from the 2023-24 academic year onwards: Monthly payment of TWD 15,000 may be given to each recipient for eight (8) semesters, on the condition that during their first six (6) semesters they published papers in SCIE, SSCI, AHCI journals as the first author with the NSYSU as the affiliation and the papers are at the top 25% of JCR database respective fields based on either JIF (Journal Impact Factor) or JCI (Journal Citation Indicator) ranking. As to the monthly payment in the 7th and 8th semesters, one half (TWD 7,500) shall be paid from the University Endowment Fund and the other half (TWD 7,500) from the advisor.

Applications shall be submitted to the OAA within the announced period.

1. Students are entitled to apply for the Elite Ph.D. Scholarship ( funded by OAA ) after the first enrollment. If approved, a financial aid of NT$15,000 will be provided monthly.

Government Scholarships
Stipends are paid on the 20th of every month, however, September and February stipends are paid along with stipends in the next month due to the unavoidable registration process.
